As such, the program selected will feature music which will celebrate the Choir’s performances of the past seven decades. While there is a very wide range of music from which to select, the music to be performed will include O Fortuna, Cachucha, Triumphal March, Geistliches Lied, In Paradisum, The Armed Man, I Was Glad, Zadok the Priest and the Hallelujah Chorus.
The Choir sponsors the Lewis Dawe Memorial section in the Adelaide Eisteddfod Society Competitions, supporting young performers as they prepare for their professional career. Karina Jay, the winner of the section and the winner of the Arnold Matters Scholarship for 2016, will perform with the choir. The choir has also invited the Young Adelaide Voices to perform as guest artist, and to join with the choir in the finale performance of Handel’s Hallelujah Chorus.
