On behalf of the members of Brisbane Chorale, Music Director, Emily Cox, and President, Ian Graham, we would like to invite you to attend the official launch of a book made possible by a grant from Brisbane City Council’s Community History Fund.
It has been written by distinguished performer, lecturer and music historian, Professor Peter Roennfeldt and documents the history of the Brisbane Chorale since its establishment over three decades ago.
The launch will be held on Wednesday 16 August from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm in the foyer of the Queensland Conservatorium, Grey Street, South Brisbane. We are delighted that Professor Scott Harrison, Director of the Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University has agreed to launch the book. (Refreshments will be served from 1.30pm).
Brisbane Chorale is one of Queensland’s major choirs, based in Brisbane and under the artistic leadership of Emily Cox, since 2003. Its story is a journey through the rich traditions of choral music with many amazing musical experiences along the way. Many eminent musicians, dedicated singers and fine orchestras have underpinned and nurtured Brisbane Chorale’s development and it is privileged to maintain a close relationship with the Conservatorium. Brisbane Chorale’s contribution to Queensland’s artistic community throughout its life thus far is celebrated by the publication of this book.
Please RSVP by 5pm Tuesday 1st August by e-mail to: email@example.com
