On April 23 the Port Lincoln Singers will be hosting the performance of "Two Captains".  This is a tribute, in narration and song, to the meeting of Flinders and Baudin in 1802.  It was performed several times in 2002 as part of "Encounter 2002" and was composed and arranged by Rosemary Nairn.   Choristers from around SA will again take part.

Bookings can be made by phoning the Nautilus Theatre on 86 212 351 or on line at www.nautilusartcentre.com.au or by emailing nautilusartcentre@plcc.sa.gov.au

“Two Captains” was composed and arranged by Rosemary Nairn, OAM as part of the state-wide event “Encounter 2002” which celebrated the bicentenary of the meeting of Matthew Flinders and Nicolas Baudin.  Was performed (in narration and song) at Port Lincoln, Victor Harbor and Woodville in early 2002.

For the two Port Lincoln performances, choristers came from Adelaide to join members of several choral groups from Eyre Peninsula.

It is being performed again this year at the request of the committee of SALT, a week-long arts festival being planned for April.

Similarly, singers from choirs in Adelaide and other country locations besides Eyre Peninsula will join the Port Lincoln Singers for the re-presentation. Rosemary will again lead the massed choir.
