“Christmas Harmony” is the Adelaide Harmony Choir’s 2017 Christmas presentation. The Choir, under the direction of Andrew Chatterton, will present the first part of Handel’s Messiah with Phoebe Paine, Charlotte Kelso, Branko Lovrinov and Macintyre Howie-Reeves performing the solos. The second part of the performance will be selected carols from the classical repertoire by Mathias, Bach, Willcocks and Walford Davies and the more recent works of John Rutter as well as carols for audience participation. The choir will be accompanied by piano and organ.

Conductor Andrew Chatterton began his appointment with the Adelaide Harmony Choir in 2016. He is a talented musician and singer. Andrew is a teacher of music at St Peter’s College and trains many of their Choirs.
Pianist and Harmony Choir Accompanist and Deputy Conductor Margaret Lambert’s musical career spans many years in Australia and overseas as a solo pianist, choral conductor, educator and mentor.
Organist Andrew Georg has special interests in opera and church music. He works as a repetiteur with the State Opera of South Australia and Co-Opera, and is the organist/choir director at Christ Church, North Adelaide.
Soprano Phoebe Paine completed a Bachelor of Music (Classical Voice) in 2016. During her studies she won several major prizes, notably in Eisteddfod Competitions. She now works as a Young Artist with State Opera SA.
Contralto Charlotte Kelso is a graduate of Elder Conservatorium in Classical Performance. She is a member of Adelaide Chamber Singers, holds a choral scholarship with Pilgrim Church and sings with State Opera SA chorus.
Tenor Branko Lovrinov has become much sought after in the professional theatre. He has experience in opera, oratorio and in classical singing performances. He had attended workshops and master classes in Europe.
Bass Macintyre Howie-Reeves has been awarded several prizes during his studies. He has performance experiences in oratorio and opera, most recently as an understudy for Dr Falke in Strauss’s Die Fledermaus for State Opera SA.
Adelaide Harmony Choir is an SATB choir of 92 singers with a repertoire including major oratorios, sacred anthems and selections from popular musicals and light operetta.
