How do you take a great choir and make it excellent?
If you are a singer involved in a vocal ensemble, this workshop will advance your abilities as a chorister and/or choir leader by teaching you how to gain better control of your instrument, how to blend your voices, choose repertoire, how to effectively communicate with your audience and give you an opportunity to get up close and personal with one of Australia’s greatest vocalists.
Multi-ARIA award-winning singer, Sally Cameron brings her many years of ensemble experience, notably the ten years spent singing soprano with The Idea of North, and delivers a fresh approach to groups wanting to take their vocal ensemble to the next level.

There’ll be techniques and practical exercises you’ll take home with you to use with your choirs, plus a healthy dose of fun along the way!

About Sally

Multi ARIA award-winning singer, Sally Cameron is one of Australia’s finest and most versatile vocalists.

Sally's voice has taken her from the Sydney Opera House to venues in Finland, Germany, Sweden, New York, Copenhagen, Seoul, Vancouver, Doha and Tokyo (to name a few).

She has performed alongside Barry Humphries (AKA Dame Edna Everage), Katie Noonan, Tina Arena, Guy Sebastian, Kate Ceberano, James Morrison, Marina Prior, Teddy Tahu-Rhodes, The Manhattan Transfer, David Campbell, with the Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Tasmanian Symphony Orchestras.

For the 10 years Sally was a member of Australia's premier professional a cappella group, The Idea of North (TION), she recorded seven albums, five of which received an ARIA nomination and two that won the ARIA for Best Jazz Album.

Now in her solo career, she has released her debut album, Always Christmas which jumped straight to #2 on the iTunes Jazz Charts. It is available on iTunes and in stores.

Sally captivates audiences with her sweet tone, incredible accuracy and emotional subtlety. A four-octave vocal range, great comedic timing and an approachable demeanor ensures a lively and entertaining interaction with her audiences of all ages.

Years of classical and jazz vocal training whilst studying various musical instruments has shaped her into a versatile musician and vocal educator. Her solid involvement in the Australian music industry is testament to her wide-ranging experience in ensembles spanning from choirs to rock bands.

Besides performing she also enjoys many teaching and adjudicating engagements as well as radio presenting and voice-over work.
