LOW REZ is a Melbourne-based male choir, established in 2008 and specialising in pop arrangements. The choir unites men from diverse cultural backgrounds through the joy of singing.
The choir is approximately 50 men strong, divided into high and low tenors, baritones and basses. The goal of the choir is to put on two major concerts per year, with several smaller gigs in and around Melbourne and regional Victoria.
Our Identity. LOW REZ is a group of men of all ages, ethnicities and life experiences who come together to sing. In singing we celebrate diversity; the diversity of LOW REZ and the broader community, while recognising the special connections we have with gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people and their friends.
Our Mission. To devise, create and perform quality musical events that showcase the male voice and promote our message of difference, acceptance and celebration.
Our Music. LOW REZ exclusively commissions new arrangements of pop music across a wide spectrum of styles and eras. We constantly challenge ourselves with interesting interpretations of old favourites and open ourselves up to new musical perspectives.
We welcome approaches from interested arrangers to join our growing group of collaborators. If that's you, please get in touch.
Get Involved! If you are interested in joining LOW REZ, you can fill out a New Member Application Form on our website.
