After more than 10 wonderful years our conductor is moving on to take up a new position with one of Sydney’s oldest men’s choirs and we are looking for someone enthusiastic and community-minded to lead us and take us on our next journey. Our choir is well established with a committed group of singers, of varying abilities, ages and experience, who share a common love of music and singing and a desire to have fun and perform. We sing 4-part harmony and have a large and eclectic repertoire which includes examples of Gospel, Pop, R&B, Soul, World, early popular music and some more classical pieces. We love to perform and we rehearse every Tuesday evening in Annandale. We are hoping to secure a conductor who;
has a keen sense of humour;
is available on Tuesday evenings during school term;
is passionate about community and has the confidence and patience to work with singers of varying ability;
has a solid musical background;
has previous experience leading choirs in an acapella setting (we would also consider a less experienced conductor with energy, enthusiasm and talent):
The position is available from the beginning of the next school term and we’d love to hear from you. For more information or to register an expression of interest, please email Phil – filosopha@fastmail.com or call 0414 775 422
